K-9 Unit

 The San Benito County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit is highly motivated and dedicated to providing the best possible service to the communities within San Benito County. 

The canine unit achieves this goal by being capable in a variety of diverse areas of expertise such as suspect apprehension, drug detection, searching for lost persons, crowd control, officer protection and public awareness. 

The canine unit currently consists of one handler and one canine, although the Sheriff's Office is actively seeking to expand it's canine division.
